In order to maintain the health and beauty of the skin, it is important to take good care of it and protect it. A new, particularly effective combination to promote skin regeneration and renewal are active ingredients from sandalwood (Sandalore) and olive oil.
Sandalore is a compound structurally based on the natural fragrance of sandalwood oil. What makes it special is that Sandalore acts on specific scent receptors in the skin called OR2AT4 receptors. These receptors are present in the skin and other tissues of the body and directly cause the regulation of cell proliferation, cell growth and regeneration of the skin.
The synergistic effect of sandalore and olive oil on skin health
A study published in the journal Experimental Dermatology examined the effect of sandalore on skin regeneration in mice. The results showed that sandalore promoted cell proliferation and wound healing in the skin. It is revealed that this is due to the activation of OR2AT4 receptors in the skin, which promote the growth and regeneration of skin cells.
Olive oil contains many beneficial compounds such as vitamin E, polyphenols and fatty acids that can help protect the skin from harmful free radicals that can result from environmental stresses such as UV radiation and pollution. Olive oil also has anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties that can help keep skin supple and hydrated.
The International Journal of Cosmetic Science published research that showed the effects of olive oil on skin hydration and skin elasticity in women. Participants used olive oil as a moisturizer on their skin for eight weeks. The results showed a significant improvement in skin hydration and skin elasticity compared to the control group. When combined, sandalore and olive oil significantly help promote skin cell regeneration and renewal while improving skin protection and hydration.
